Abstract
Background: This study¡¯s purpose was twofold: (1) to develop an education program using simulation to teach the prevention of infection and safety accidents to postpartum care center workers based on ARCS and (2) to evaluate its heuristic quality and effectiveness.

Methods: The program for preventing infection and safety accidents in postpartum care center workers consisted of 9 main menus and 24 submenus. The heuristics evaluation was conducted using eight principles. The evaluation to the quality of the program used the quality evaluation tool based on the information success model. This tool consists of system quality, information quality, service quality, user satisfaction, and actual use.

Results: In the evaluations, one professional assigned 1 point for five of the eight principles: consistency and mapping, good ergonomics and minimalist design, flexibility and efficiency, anesthetics, and error management. Two professionals assigned 1 point for the remaining three principles: ease of input, screen readability, and glanceability. In the users¡¯ quality assessment, the system quality category had the highest score (4.50/5), and information quality had the lowest score (3.62/5). The average overall score was 3.95, indicating that there was general satisfaction with the application¡¯s quality.

Conclusion: We have revised the application based on the experts¡¯ recommendations derived from the heuristics evaluation.
